Illinois High School Basketball - Naperville Central can't hold off Lockport
January 11, 2025: Lockport, IL 60441 Lockport Porters (Lockport, IL) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Naperville Central Redhawks (Naperville, IL), 56-52 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Lockport advances its record to 10-7 on the year. The Porters host Andrew (Tinley Park, IL) to face the Thunderbolts in a SouthWest Suburban match on Tuesday, January 14. The Thunderbolts enter the match with a record of 7-10. Andrew won 40-38 in their recent league match against Stagg (Palos Hills, IL)
The Redhawks now own a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kaneland for a non-league match on Tuesday, January 14. Naperville Central will face a Knights squad coming off a 59-44 non-league win over Taylorville (Taylorville, IL). The Knights record now stands at 15-1.
