Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX) supporters left the game happy Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Nixon Mustangs (Laredo, TX), 50-45 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Roma advances its record to 6-0 on the year. The Gladiators host Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX) to face the Huskies in a non-league match on Thursday, January 16. The Huskies enter the match with a record of 0-2.

The Mustangs now own a 7-22 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Palmview for a non-league match on Saturday, January 18.
