The Boardman Spartans basketball team scored 54 points and limited the visiting Austintown-Fitch Falcons to 41 in the Spartans league triumph on Saturday.

The Spartans now have a 6-7 record. They play next when they host West Branch for a non-league game on Monday, January 13. Boardman will confront a Warriors team coming off a 51-24 non-league win over Cardinal Mooney (Youngstown, OH). The Warriors record now stands at 11-1.

With the loss, Austintown-Fitch falls to 6-7 on the year. The Falcons travel to Howland (Warren, OH) to face the Tigers in a All-American match on Wednesday, January 15. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 5-7. Howland lost 47-44 in their recent league match against Canfield (Canfield, OH)
