Wisconsin High School Basketball - Manawa can't hold off Amherst
January 12, 2023: Manawa, WI 54949 The Amherst Falcons basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Manawa Wolves to 54 in the Falcons non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Falcons now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Weyauwega-Fremont for a Central Wisconsin - East match on Tuesday, January 17.
With the defeat, Manawa moves to 1-8 on the year. The Wolves host Iola-Scandinavia (Iola, WI) to meet the Thunderbirds in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 17. The Thunderbirds enter the match with a record of 0-10. Iola-Scandinavia lost 65-44 in their recent league match against Bonduel (Bonduel, WI)
