In Thursday's league match, the visiting Carolina Academy Trojans basketball team scored a tight 64-61 triumph over the Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers.

In their next game, the Trojans meet the Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC) in a AAA Region 3 match, on Tuesday, January 17. Carolina Academy will attempt to move on its 5-13 season record. The Centurions enter the match with a 7-11 record after their 63-26 non-league loss to Union County (Union, SC).
