In Thursday's league match, the host Sahuaro Cougars basketball team scored a good 60-51 triumph over the Canyon del Oro Dorados.

In their next game, the Cougars meet the Salpointe Catholic Lancers (Tucson, AZ) in a 4A Kino match, on Tuesday, January 17. Sahuaro will attempt to better on its 16-2 season record. The Lancers enter the match with a 10-8 record after their 75-54 league loss to Pueblo (Tucson, AZ).

With the defeat, Canyon del Oro moves to 7-13 on the year. The Dorados travel to Catalina Foothills (Tucson, AZ) to meet the Falcons in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 18. The Falcons enter the match with a record of 12-4.
