The First Academy Eagles basketball team (Leesburg, FL), was nudged 60-54 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Taylor Wildcats (Pierson, FL)

The Wildcats now sport a 4-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crooms Academy for a 3A District 4 battle on Tuesday, January 17. Taylor will battle a Panthers team coming off a 62-57 non-league win over Halifax Academy (Daytona Beach, FL). The Panthers record now stands at 8-2.

The Eagles (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Ocala Christian (Ocala, FL). The Crusaders come into the non-league battle with a 2-10 record.
