Virginia High School Basketball - Riverheads overwhelms Mountain View
January 12, 2023: Staunton, VA 24401 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Riverheads Gladiators (Staunton, VA) and the visiting Mountain View Generals (Quicksburg, VA), saw Riverheads's basketball squad wallop Mountain View by a count of 69-42.
With the victory, Riverheads upgrades its record to 5-5 on the campaign. The Gladiators host Wilson Memorial (Fishersville, VA) to play the Green Hornets in a Shenandoah challenge on Friday, January 13. The Green Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Wilson Memorial lost 47-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Fort Defiance (Fort Defiance, VA)
Next up, the Generals play the Central Woodstock Falcons (Woodstock, VA) in a Bull Run challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Mountain View will attempt to upgrade on its 0-12 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 35-21 league loss to Strasburg (Strasburg, VA).
