January 12, 2023: Fort Lauderdale, FL 33305 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Fort Lauderdale Flying L's (Fort Lauderdale, FL) and the visiting Cooper City Cowboys (Cooper City, FL), saw Fort Lauderdale's basketball squad hold off Cooper City by a tally of 44-39.
With the victory, Fort Lauderdale improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Flying L's travel to Coral Springs Charter (Coral Springs, FL) to confront the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, January 17. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 10-3. Coral Springs Charter won 51-26 in their recent league challenge against Pompano Beach (Pompano Beach, FL)
Next up, the Cowboys confront the Western Wildcats (Davie, FL) in a 7A District 14 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Cooper City will attempt to improve on its 6-9 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 10-7 record after their 61-53 non-league win over Miami Christian (Miami, FL).
