Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Marple Newtown overwhelms Upper Darby
January 12, 2023: Newtown Square, PA 19073 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA) and the visiting Upper Darby Royals (Drexel Hill, PA), saw Marple Newtown's basketball squad wallop Upper Darby by a tally of 45-23.
With the victory, Marple Newtown improves its record to 4-3 on the campaign. The Fightin' Tigers host Collegium Charter (Exton, PA) to confront the Cougar in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Cougar come into the challenge with a record of 3-11. Collegium Charter lost 52-38 in their recent league challenge against Delaware County Christian (Newtown Square, PA)
Next up, the Royals confront the Oxford Hornets (Oxford, PA) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Upper Darby will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Hornets come into the challenge with a 7-5 record after their 47-37 league loss to Great Valley (Malvern, PA).
