Haverford Fords (Havertown, PA) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Marple Newtown Fightin' Tigers (Newtown Square, PA), 31-30 in a league bout.

With the win, Haverford upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Fords travel to Academy-Notre Dame De Namur (Villanova, PA) to play the in a non-league bout on Sunday, January 15. The go into the bout with a record of 7-7.

Next up, the Fightin' Tigers play the Lower Merion Aces (Ardmore, PA) in a Central bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Marple Newtown will attempt to upgrade on its 3-3 season record.
