January 12, 2023: Glenwood, MN 56334 Fans at Thursday's league challenge between the Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN) and the visiting Melrose Dutchmen (Melrose, MN), saw Minnewaska Area's basketball squad overcome Melrose by a tally of 36-28.
With the victory, Minnewaska Area improves its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Lakers travel to New London-Spicer (New London, MN) to confront the Wildcats in a AA Section 3 challenge on Monday, January 16. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a record of 10-0. New London-Spicer won 90-28 in their recent non-league challenge against Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted/Holy Trinity (Howard Lake, MN)
Next up, the Dutchmen confront the Holdingford Huskers (Holdingford, MN) in a AA Section 6 challenge, on Friday, January 13. Melrose will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Huskers come into the challenge with a 10-2 record after their 41-32 league win over Eden Valley-Watkins (Eden Valley, MN).
