The Nestucca Bobcats basketball team scored 38 points and held the visiting Vernonia Loggers to 21 in the Bobcats league triumph on Thursday.

The Bobcats now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Knappa for a 2A Northwest contest on Monday, January 16. Nestucca will battle a Loggers team coming off a 48-38 league win over Clatskanie (Clatskanie, OR). The Loggers record now stands at 6-8.

The Loggers (4-9) will now prepare for their contest against Gaston (Gaston, OR). The Greyhounds enter the 2A Northwest contest with a 4-5 record.
