In Thursday's non-league match, the host Pike Central Chargers basketball team scored a tight 43-41 triumph over the White River Valley Wolverines.

In their next game, the Chargers meet the North Posey Vikings (Poseyville, IN) in a Pocket match, on Saturday, January 14. Pike Central will attempt to better on its 4-14 season record. The Vikings enter the match with a 6-7 record after their 48-39 non-league loss to Evansville Mater Dei (Evansville, IN).
