Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Aiken Fighting Green Hornets (Aiken, SC), 46-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Midland Valley upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Mustangs host South Aiken (Aiken, SC) to play the Thoroughbreds in a bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Thoroughbreds come into the bout with a record of 2-2. South Aiken lost 43-32 in their recent non-league bout against Lower Richland (Hopkins, SC)
