The Saugus Centurions basketball team scored 72 points and restricted the host Canyon Cowboys to 53 in the Centurions league victory on Friday.

The Centurions now sport a 16-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Pasadena for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 13. Saugus will battle a Tigers team coming off a 81-39 league win over Monrovia (Monrovia, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 12-5.

The Cowboys (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against West Ranch (Valencia, CA). The Wildcats come into the Foothill contest with a 11-10 record. In their last contest, West Ranch was defeated by Heritage Christian (Northridge, CA), 76-75, in a non-league contest.
