Holly Springs Golden Hawks (Holly Springs, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Cary Imps (Cary, NC), 60-49 in a league bout.

With the win, Holly Springs upgrades its record to 12-3 on the season. The Golden Hawks host Panther Creek (Cary, NC) to play the Catamounts in a 4A Southeast Wake bout on Friday, January 19. The Catamounts go into the bout with a record of 11-4. Panther Creek won 68-52 in their recent league bout against Apex Friendship (Apex, NC)

Next up, the Imps play the Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC) in a 4A Southeast Wake bout, on Friday, January 19. Cary will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Patriots go into the bout with a 11-3 record after their 58-55 non-league win over Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC).
