January 12, 2024: Marriottsville, MD 21104 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the St. Mary's Saints (Annapolis, MD) and the host Chapelgate Christian Academy Yellowjackets (Marriottsville, MD), saw St. Mary's's basketball squad hold off Chapelgate Christian Academy by a tally of 64-57.
With the victory, St. Mary's improves its record to 1-9 on the campaign. The Saints host St. Paul's (Brooklandville, MD) to play the Crusaders in a MIAA B - Red challenge on Wednesday, January 17. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 3-4. St. Paul's lost 79-61 in their recent league challenge against Severn School (Severna Park, MD)
Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Indian Creek Eagles (Crownsville, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 19. Chapelgate Christian Academy will attempt to improve on its 8-7 season record. The Eagles come into the challenge with a 7-8 record after their 44-43 non-league loss to Friends (Baltimore, MD).
