Connecticut High School Basketball - Holy Cross holds off Torrington
January 12, 2024: Waterbury, CT 06708 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Holy Cross Crusaders (Waterbury, CT) and the visiting Torrington Raiders (Torrington, CT), saw Holy Cross's basketball squad hold off Torrington by a tally of 70-63.
With the victory, Holy Cross improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Crusaders travel to Waterbury Career Academy (Waterbury, CT) to confront the Spartans in a Naugatuck Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 16. The Spartans come into the challenge with a record of 8-2. Waterbury Career Academy won 71-55 in their recent league challenge against Crosby (Waterbury, CT)
Next up, the Raiders confront the Naugatuck Greyhounds (Naugatuck, CT) in a Naugatuck Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Torrington will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Greyhounds come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 73-58 league win over Kennedy (Waterbury, CT).
