The Hoover Vikings tipped the visiting McKinley Bulldogs basketball team by a final score of 50-48 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Vikings face the Barberton Magics (Barberton, OH) in a non-league game, on Sunday, January 14. Hoover will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Magics enter the game with a 11-1 record after their 60-55 league win over Highland (Medina, OH).

With the defeat, McKinley moves to 6-4 on the year. The Bulldogs host East (Akron, OH) to face the Dragons in a non-league game on Sunday, January 14. The Dragons enter the game with a record of 4-5. East lost 57-46 in their recent non-league game against Garfield (Akron, OH)
