South Dakota High School Basketball - Moorcroft holds off Newell
January 12, 2024: Newell, SD 57760 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Moorcroft Wolves (Moorcroft, WY) and the host Newell Irrigators (Newell, SD), saw Moorcroft's basketball squad hold off Newell by a tally of 49-45.
With the victory, Moorcroft improves its record to 1-6 on the campaign. The Wolves host Edgemont (Edgemont, SD) to confront the Moguls in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 13. The Moguls come into the challenge with a record of 1-8. Edgemont won 60-27 in their recent non-league challenge against Oelrichs (Oelrichs, SD)
Next up, the Irrigators confront the Oelrichs Tigers (Oelrichs, SD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 13. Newell will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Tigers come into the challenge with a 0-9 record after their 60-27 non-league loss to Edgemont (Edgemont, SD).
