January 12, 2024: Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) and the visiting Waynesburg Central Raiders (Waynesburg, PA), saw Mt. Pleasant's basketball squad overcome Waynesburg Central by a tally of 70-53.
With the victory, Mt. Pleasant improves its record to 5-8 on the campaign. The Vikings host Derry (Derry, PA) to confront the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 6-4.
Next up, the Raiders confront the McGuffey Highlanders (Claysville, PA) in a WPIAL 3A 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 16. Waynesburg Central will attempt to improve on its 2-7 season record. The Highlanders come into the challenge with a 11-3 record after their 55-42 league loss to Yough (Herminie, PA).
