Utah High School Basketball - American Fork can't hold off Lehi
January 12, 2024: Lehi, UT 84043 The Lehi Pioneers basketball team scored 42 points and held the visiting American Fork Cavemen to 39 in the Pioneers league triumph on Friday.
The Pioneers now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Westlake for a 6A Region 3 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Lehi will battle a Thunder team coming off a 50-36 league win over Skyridge (Lehi, UT). The Thunder record now stands at 10-4.
The Cavemen (6-6) will now prepare for their contest against Pleasant Grove (Pleasant Grove, UT). The Vikings enter the 6A Region 3 contest with a 10-4 record. In their last contest, Pleasant Grove was nudged by Lone Peak (Highland, UT), 71-46, in a league contest.

Game Summary: Lehi led this game for almost all the way. The game was close throughout and Lehi had an 8- point lead going into the final quarter. American Fork came back outscoring Lehi 18 to 13 in the fourth quarter but the Pioneers held on for the win. Addy Scrivner led the way with 13 points while Sammi Love added 11.
