In Friday's league outing, the Independence Falcons (Bakersfield, CA) basketball squad edged the host Bakersfield Drillers (Bakersfield, CA), by a count of 60-54.

The Falcons (7-9) will now prepare for their outing against Ridgeview (Bakersfield, CA). The Wolf Pack go into the South Yosemite - Valley outing with a 8-9 record. In their last outing, Ridgeview was tipped by Bakersfield Christian (Bakersfield, CA), 67-31, in a league outing.
