Crowley County Chargers (Ordway, CO) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Swink Lions (Swink, CO), 40-35 in a league bout.

With the victory, Crowley County upgrades its record to 8-2 on the campaign. The Chargers travel to Las Animas (Las Animas, CO) to play the Trojans in a 3A/2A Santa Fe bout on Tuesday, January 16. The Trojans come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Las Animas lost 51-8 in their recent league bout against Hoehne (Hoehne, CO)

Next up, the Lions play the Cheyenne Wells Tigers (Cheyenne Wells, CO) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 13. Swink will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 58-25 non-league loss to Stratton (Stratton, CO).
