California High School Basketball - Downey crushes Gahr

January 12, 2024: Cerritos, CA 90703

Downey Vikings (Downey, CA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Gahr Gladiators (Cerritos, CA), 56-28 in a league bout.

With the victory, Downey upgrades its record to 12-10 on the campaign. The Vikings host Warren (Downey, CA) to play the Bears in a Gateway bout on Wednesday, January 17. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 7-10. Warren lost 44-31 in their recent league bout against Gahr (Cerritos, CA)

Next up, the Gladiators play the Paramount Pirates (Paramount, CA) in a Gateway bout, on Wednesday, January 17. Gahr will attempt to upgrade on its 17-4 season record. The Pirates come into the bout with a 17-6 record after their 55-48 league loss to Lynwood (Lynwood, CA).
