The Mount Vernon Christian Hurricanes basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Friday Harbor Wolverines to 33 in the Hurricanes league triumph on Friday.

The Hurricanes now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Granite Falls for a non-league contest on Monday, January 15. Mount Vernon Christian will battle a Tigers team coming off a 48-15 non-league win over Orcas Island (Eastsound, WA). The Tigers record now stands at 6-0.

The Wolverines (1-4) will now prepare for their contest against Bellingham (Bellingham, WA). The Bayhawks enter the non-league contest with a 2-11 record.
