The Melrose Dutchmen basketball team (Melrose, MN), was overwhelmed 62-38 in Friday's non-league battle with the visiting West Central Area Knights (Barrett, MN)

The Knights now possess a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Breckenridge for a A Section 6 battle on Tuesday, January 16. West Central Area will battle a Cowboys team coming off a 62-48 non-league loss to Fergus Falls (Fergus Falls, MN). The Cowboys record now stands at 9-4.
