The Poynette Pumas basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting Columbus Cardinals to 60 in the Pumas league triumph on Thursday.

The Pumas now sport a 3-10 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lake Mills for a Capitol - North contest on Tuesday, January 18. Poynette will battle a L-Cats team coming off a 58-36 non-league loss to Sauk Prairie (Prairie du Sac, WI). The L-Cats record now stands at 5-8.

The Cardinals (9-3) will now prepare for their contest against Luther Prep (Watertown, WI). The Phoenix enter the Capitol - North contest with a 3-6 record.
