Illinois High School Basketball - Altamont thwarts North Clay/Clay City
January 13, 2023: Altamont, IL 62411 The Altamont Indians (Altamont, IL) basketball knocked off the visiting North Clay/Clay City (Louisville, IL), 61-43 in Friday's league test.
The Indians (15-3) will now prepare for their test against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City (Cowden, IL). The Bobcats go into the Egyptian Illini test with a 5-11 record. In their last test, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City went down by Lawrenceville (Lawrenceville, IL), 68-25, in a non-league test.
The now own a 12-5 record. They play next when they travel to Woodlawn for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. North Clay/Clay City will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 37-21 non-league loss to Flora (Flora, IL). The Cardinals record now stands at 6-11.
