Texas High School Basketball - Waltrip overwhelms Austin
January 13, 2023: Houston, TX 77018 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Waltrip Rams (Houston, TX) and the visiting Austin Mustangs (Houston, TX), saw Waltrip's basketball squad wallop Austin by a tally of 58-13.
With the victory, Waltrip improves its record to 8-9 on the campaign. The Rams host Milby (Houston, TX) to play the Buffs in a 5A Region III District 19 challenge on Thursday, January 19. The Buffs come into the challenge with a record of 11-10. Milby won 75-35 in their recent league challenge against Austin (Houston, TX)
Next up, the Mustangs play the Northside Panthers (Houston, TX) in a 5A Region III District 19 challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Austin will attempt to improve on its 3-11 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 0-16 record after their 86-33 league loss to Sharpstown (Houston, TX).
