The Hanahan Hawks tipped the visiting Battery Creek Dolphins basketball team by a final score of 53-52 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Hawks face the Philip Simmons Iron Horses (Charleston, SC) in a AAA Region 8 game, on Tuesday, January 17. Hanahan will attempt to move on its 4-14 season record. The Iron Horses enter the game with a 10-8 record after their 54-53 league win over North Charleston (North Charleston, SC).

With the defeat, Battery Creek moves to 3-13 on the year. The Dolphins host Philip Simmons (Charleston, SC) to face the Iron Horses in a AAA Region 8 game on Friday, January 20. The Iron Horses enter the game with a record of 10-8.
