South Carolina High School Basketball - Union County crushes Broome

January 13, 2023: Spartanburg, SC 29307

Union County Yellowjackets (Union, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Broome Centurions (Spartanburg, SC), 63-26 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Union County upgrades its record to 11-8 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Emerald (Greenwood, SC) to play the Vikings in a AAA Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 7-7. Emerald won 54-50 in their recent league bout against Chester (Chester, SC)

Next up, the Centurions play the Carolina Academy Trojans (Greenville, SC) in a AAA Region 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Broome will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 5-13 record after their 64-61 league win over Blue Ridge (Greer, SC).
