January 13, 2023: Calhoun, GA 30701 In Friday's league outing, the Sonoraville Phoenix (Calhoun, GA) basketball squad edged the visiting Cedartown Bulldogs (Cedartown, GA), by a count of 63-58.
The Phoenix (12-6) will now prepare for their outing against Northwest Whitfield (Tunnel Hill, GA). The Bruins go into the AAAA Region 7 outing with a 11-4 record. In their last outing, Northwest Whitfield held off Coahulla Creek (Dalton, GA), 68-36, in a non-league outing.
The Bulldogs now hold a 0-12 record. They play next when they travel to Rockmart for a non-league outing on Saturday, January 14. Cedartown will clash with a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 62-34 league loss to Model (Rome, GA). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 8-8.
