January 13, 2023: Heidelberg, MS 39439 The Collins Tigers basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Heidelberg Oilers to 64 in the Tigers league triumph on Friday.
The Tigers now sport a 12-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Stringer for a 2A Region 8 contest on Tuesday, January 17. Collins will meet a Red Devils team coming off a 55-35 league win over Sacred Heart (Hattiesburg, MS). The Red Devils record now stands at 10-10.
The Oilers (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Jefferson Davis County (Bassfield, MS). The Jaguars enter the non-league contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Jefferson Davis County nudged Collins (Collins, MS), 69-62, in a non-league contest.
