The Gunter Tigers basketball team (Gunter, TX), was toppled 51-42 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Pottsboro Cardinals (Pottsboro, TX)

The Cardinals now possess a 19-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Blue Ridge for a 3A Region II District 11 battle on Tuesday, January 17. Pottsboro will confront a Tigers team coming off a 67-34 league win over Bonham (Bonham, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 11-13.

The Tigers (18-4) will now prepare for their battle against Bells (Bells, TX). The Panthers come into the 3A Region II District 11 battle with a 15-4 record. In their last battle, Bells was toppled by Pottsboro (Pottsboro, TX), 61-49, in a league battle.
