Illinois High School Basketball - Illini West fells Mendon Unity

Illini West Chargers (Carthage, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Mendon Unity Mustangs (Mendon, IL), 54-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Illini West upgrades its record to 12-9 on the season. The Chargers travel to Augusta Southeastern (Augusta, IL) to play the Suns in a West Central bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Suns go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Augusta Southeastern lost 55-32 in their recent non-league bout against Hamilton/Warsaw (Hamilton, IL)

Next up, the Mustangs play the Hamilton/Warsaw Titans (Hamilton, IL) in a West Central bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Mendon Unity will attempt to upgrade on its 5-9 season record. The Titans go into the bout with a 16-5 record after their 55-32 non-league win over Augusta Southeastern (Augusta, IL).
