West Virginia High School Basketball - Tucker County falls to James Monroe

January 13, 2023: Lindside, WV 24951

In Friday's non-league match, the host James Monroe Mavericks basketball team scored a good 63-54 triumph over the Tucker County Mountain Lions.

In their next game, the Mavericks meet the Summers County Bobcats (Hinton, WV) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 17. James Monroe will attempt to better on its 10-2 season record. The Bobcats enter the match with a 4-6 record after their 53-41 league loss to Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV).

With the defeat, Tucker County moves to 4-3 on the year. The Mountain lions travel to Tyler (Sistersville, WV) to meet the Knights in a non-league match on Saturday, January 14. The Knights enter the match with a record of 4-5. Tyler lost 71-58 in their recent non-league match against Clay-Battelle (Blacksville, WV)
