January 13, 2023: Tyler, MN 56178 The Kerkhoven-Murdock-Sunburg Fighting Saints basketball team (Kerkhoven, MN), was overwhelmed 73-44 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Russell-Tyler-Ruthton Knights (Tyler, MN)
The Knights now possess a 9-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Murray County Central for a A Section 3 battle on Monday, January 16. Russell-Tyler-Ruthton will battle a Rebels team coming off a 72-38 league win over Red Rock Central (Lamberton, MN). The Rebels record now stands at 8-2.
The Fighting Saints (7-3) will now prepare for their battle against Central Minnesota Christian (Prinsburg, MN). The Bluejays come into the non-league battle with a 7-3 record. In their last battle, Central Minnesota Christian trounced Yellow Medicine East (Granite Falls, MN), 83-61, in a league battle.
