In Friday's league bout, the visiting New Hope Trojans basketball squad scored a close 58-53 win over the Saltillo Tigers.

With the win, New Hope upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Trojans host Grenada (Grenada, MS) to play the Chargers in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 14. The Chargers go into the bout with a record of 11-6. Grenada lost 80-59 in their recent league bout against Tupelo (Tupelo, MS)
