January 13, 2023: Rantoul, IL 61866 The Prairie Central Hawks (Fairbury, IL) basketball felled the host Rantoul Eagles (Rantoul, IL), 65-49 in Friday's league test.
The Hawks (16-1) will now prepare for their test against St. Joseph-Ogden (St. Joseph, IL). The Spartans go into the Illini Prairie test with a 14-3 record. In their last test, St. Joseph-Ogden thwarted Maroa-Forsyth (Maroa, IL), 76-54, in a non-league test.
The Eagles now own a 6-11 record. They play next when they host Dunlap for a non-league test on Saturday, January 14. Rantoul will encounter a Eagles squad coming off a 62-54 league loss to Metamora (Metamora, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 7-10.
