Louisiana High School Basketball - Westminster Academy trounces St. Edmund
January 13, 2023: Opelousas, LA 70570 The Westminster Academy Crusaders (Opelousas, LA) basketball crushed the visiting St. Edmund Fighting Blue Jays (Eunice, LA), 70-35 in Friday's league test.
The Crusaders (6-3) will now prepare for their test against False River (New Roads, LA). The Gators go into the 1A District 6 test with a 2-12 record. In their last test, False River was trounced by Maurepas (Maurepas, LA), 69-46, in a non-league test.
The Fighting Blue Jays now own a 5-6 record. They play next when they travel to Westminster Christian Academy for a non-league test on Monday, January 16. St. Edmund will encounter a squad coming off a 65-56 non-league loss to St. Edmund (Eunice, LA). The record now stands at 2-5.
