The Alcoa Tornadoes basketball team scored 77 points and held the visiting Pigeon Forge Tigers to 43 in the Tornadoes non-league triumph on Friday.

The Tornadoes now sport a 14-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sevier County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 17. Alcoa will battle a Smoky Bears team coming off a 57-41 league win over Morristown-Hamblen West (Morristown, TN). The Smoky Bears record now stands at 16-4.

The Tigers (6-5) will now prepare for their contest against Union County (Maynardville, TN). The Patriots enter the 2A District 2 contest with a 9-7 record. In their last contest, Union County triumphed over Gibbs (Corryton, TN), 64-50, in a non-league contest.
