Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles (Greensboro, NC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Northeast Guilford Rams (McLeansville, NC), 72-20 in a league bout.

With the win, Ben L. Smith upgrades its record to 12-2 on the season. The Golden Eagles travel to Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC) to clash with the Camels in a 3A Conference 46 bout on Wednesday, January 18. The Camels go into the bout with a record of 9-6. Atkins lost 37-21 in their recent non-league bout against West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC)

Next up, the Rams clash with the St. Margaret's Scotties (Tappahannock, VA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, January 16. Northeast Guilford will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Scotties go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 81-15 non-league loss to Northside Christian Academy (Charlotte, NC).
