Kuemper Knights (Carroll, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Glenwood Rams (Glenwood, IA), 53-50 in a league challenge.

With the victory, Kuemper improves its record to 7-6 on the campaign. The Knights travel to Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA) to confront the Crusaders in a non-league challenge on Saturday, January 14. The Crusaders come into the challenge with a record of 8-3. Bishop Heelan Catholic won 65-39 in their recent league challenge against Lincoln (Council Bluffs, IA)

Next up, the Rams confront the Maryville Spoofhounds (Maryville, MO) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, January 14. Glenwood will attempt to improve on its 7-5 season record. The Spoofhounds come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 52-50 league loss to St. Pius X (Kansas City, MO).
