Utah High School Basketball - Gunnison Valley fells Merit Preparatory Academy

Gunnison Valley Bulldogs (Gunnison, UT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Merit Preparatory Academy Knights (Springville, UT), 65-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gunnison Valley upgrades its record to 6-8 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Duchesne (Duchesne, UT) to clash with the Eagles in a 2A Region 16 bout on Thursday, January 19. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 8-6.

Next up, the Knights clash with the Utah Military Academy - Camp Williams Marauders (Lehi, UT) in a 2A Region 18 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Merit Preparatory Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 6-8 season record. The Marauders go into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 61-37 league loss to Rockwell (Eagle Mountain, UT).
