Little River Academy Bumblebees (Little River Academy, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Lexington Eagles (Lexington, TX), 54-19 in a league bout.

With the win, Little River Academy upgrades its record to 21-7 on the season. The Bumblebees host McGregor (McGregor, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a 3A Region III District 19 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-17.

Next up, the Eagles play the Lorena Leopards (Lorena, TX) in a 3A Region III District 19 bout, on Tuesday, January 17. Lexington will attempt to upgrade on its 13-14 season record. The Leopards go into the bout with a 23-4 record after their 49-38 league win over Troy (Troy, TX).
