The Victory Christian Lions basketball team (Pell City, AL), was nudged 36-32 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Ragland Purple Devils (Ragland, AL)

The Purple Devils now possess a 5-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Jefferson Christian Academy for a 1A Area 10 battle on Tuesday, January 17. Ragland will confront a Eagles team coming off a 43-20 non-league win over Coosa Christian (Gadsden, AL). The Eagles record now stands at 11-3.

The Lions (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against Appalachian (Oneonta, AL). The Eagles come into the 1A Area 10 battle with a 10-9 record. In their last battle, Appalachian was nudged by Talladega County Central (Talladega, AL), 39-36, in a league battle.
