Kansas High School Basketball - Salina Central can't hold off Valley Center

The Valley Center Hornets basketball team scored 40 points and held the visiting Salina Central Mustangs to 36 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 3-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Andover Central for a Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail II contest on Tuesday, January 31. Valley Center will battle a Jaguars team coming off a 54-34 non-league win over Arkansas City (Arkansas City, KS). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-3.

The Mustangs (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against Arkansas City (Arkansas City, KS). The Bulldogs enter the Ark Valley-Chisholm Trail II contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Arkansas City was nudged by Andover Central (Andover, KS), 54-34, in a non-league contest.
