Louisiana High School Basketball - Sam Houston succumbs to Southside
January 13, 2023: Youngsville, LA The Southside Sharks topped the visiting Sam Houston Broncos basketball team by a final score of 46-34 in Friday's league game.
In their next game, the Sharks face the Barbe Buccaneers (Lake Charles, LA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, January 17. Southside will attempt to move on its 10-6 season record. The Buccaneers enter the game with a 16-3 record after their 66-48 non-league win over Northside (Lafayette, LA).
With the defeat, Sam Houston moves to 7-12 on the year. The Broncos host Sulphur (Sulphur, LA) to face the Golden Tors in a 5A District 3 outing on Monday, January 16. The Golden Tors go into the outing with a record of 14-6. Sulphur lost 46-27 in their recent non-league outing against South Beauregard (Longville, LA)
